A memorable day – after getting permission to visit the Djabbaren site of Cupressus (Algeria) dupreziana the team is ready for a hike to the plateau. Starting from Djanet (1040 m) very early morning in the dark, we reach the plateau (varies around 1700 m) in good light and take many photos. István (middle) is led by a native Touareg guide called Agaahmed Mohamed, accompanied by two local officials. The main photo was taken by expedition coordinator Gadiri Nassim, the inset photo by István.
